The Classes

Drama Center Classes running Saturdays:
Mar. 22, Mar. 29, Apr. 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Acting for TV and Radio with Trill Webster – Ages 8 and up. Veteran radio talk-show host, stage actress and TV personality Trill
Webster will teach acting technique for radio and TV. Two field trips are scheduled to a radio station and a TV station
to watch the pros at work and see how it really happens. Trill has been seen on-stage this season in ATY's Ramona Quimby and A Christmas Story.
Saturdays 10am-11:30am; Mar. 22 - Apr. 26. Fee: $100

Basic Acting 101 with Jon Minton – Ages 11 to 18. For anybody interested in theatre this is a great starting course. Come learn some fun theatre warm-ups, perform a scene and a monologue, and get to know other students.
It all leads up to a monologue and scene showcase to be performed on the final Saturday for an invited audience. About the Teacher: Jon Minton, a UAA Theatre student, is now
in his fourth year of working with ATY. He recently appeared in UAA's She Stoops to Conquer as "Hastings". His other local performance credits include
numerous characters in The Laramie Project (ETC), "Jacques" in As You Like It (ATY), "Bob Cratchit" in Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge (UAA),
and "Katurian" in The Pillowman (UAA/TOR) Saturdays Noon-1.30pm; Mar. 22 - Apr. 26. Fee: $100

Fairytale Theatre: Playmaking (resumes only for Summer Conservatory, June 30th-July 27th: See Summer Conservatory page –
Ages 5-8. Children use their own sense of play and imaginations to develop their own story.
The end result is a short play performed for friends and family. Students
learn to appreciate their own and others’ ideas as a base
for creating
theatre as well as learning theatre games and getting to use props
and
costumes from ATY’s vast storage. Teacher: Brian Hutton;
