Reunion (After the End of the World)

Ages 8-18

After The Event wiped out civilization as we know it, a group of students have taken over a local high school, building a new society geared entirely toward survival, free from the past. But when a group of outside kids comes looking for something buried in the school, the past and present reunite in a play about memory, loss, and what it means to be a kid in extraordinary circumstances.

Directors Note:
I absolutely love this play: it lends itself to some intense stakes that aren’t typically available for youth theater actors without leaning into topics that might not be age-appropriate. The setting and situation alone are life-or-death for these characters, but the humor and language the author uses bring us into a world that is playful and intriguing. I cannot WAIT to play with my actors on this one.

Charlotte's Web tells the charming story of a pig named Wilbur and his friends Fern (Mr. Zuckerman's Daughter), and Charlotte, a friendly talking spider. This spider saves his life by making him famous through the "miraculous" words she spins in her web, making Wilbur famous in an attempt to prevent Mr. Zuckerman from slaughtering him.This is a story about friendship, justice, resilience, and the circle of life. 

The Search for Delicious

In this magical adaptation of Natalie Babbitt’s classic tale, a troupe of actors recreate a mythical medieval kingdom in the midst of a fierce disagreement over the most “delicious” food. To avoid a civil war, the kingdom sends 12-year-old Gaylen (and his loyal horse, Marrow) on a journey to settle the definition once and for all. On their quest, Gaylen and Marrow must face the evil Hemlock who wants to overthrow the King and Queen, seek the help of enchanted characters (a mermaid, dwarfs, and the 900-year-old woldweller), and calm the increasingly scared villagers of the kingdom. Defining a word has never had higher stakes. Music, comedy, and a look at human foolishness come together in a joyous conclusion.

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
