At Alaska Theatre of Youth (ATY), we believe that every child deserves the chance to step into the spotlight—regardless of their background or ability to pay. Through theatre, we empower young people to discover their voices, build lifelong confidence, and become the heroes of their own stories.

But we can’t do it without you.

Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or spread the word, your support ensures that theatre remains accessible and affordable for all youth across Alaska. No gift is too small—every dollar brings us closer to inspiring the next generation of creative, compassionate leaders. 

Why It Matters

Students who consistently participate in the arts are more likely to graduate high school, attend college, and become active volunteers in their communities. At ATY, we see this firsthand—how the power of theatre helps youth develop not only creativity, but also discipline, empathy, collaboration, and leadership.

Your donation directly supports scholarships, programming, and the vital infrastructure that keeps ATY running. With your help, we continue to build our foundation on our five core values: education, inclusion, respect, fun, and community. These values guide every production, class, and camp we offer.

How You Can Make a Difference

Here’s how your contribution can make an immediate impact:

$5,000 – Sponsor an entire production and bring an ATY show to life
$1,000 – Help us maintain and grow our studio space
$700 – Give TWO kids the full camp experience with scholarships
$150 – Provide ONE Drama Center Scholarship
$100 – Support a young performer with a Production Scholarship
$70 – Fund a teacher’s stipend for two classes
$50 – Cover script printing for camps
$25 – Ensure the safety of our students with a background check for one staff or volunteer
